| Tasting Note | WS 93/100 (2008) Bruce Sanderson This red is elegant yet powerful, with cherry, raspberry, mineral and spice notes coursing through, staying persistent from start to finish. Fresh and vibrant, with a long, fruit- and spice-tinged aftertaste. Best from 2014 through 2030 BH 92/100 (2008) This is also markedly reserved at present though there is an abundance of the hallmark spice notes to the violet, stone and red berry fruit aromas. The mouth feel is supple and refined, thanks largely to the fine and well-integrated tannic spine that is phenolically mature, all wrapped in a balanced, long, stylish and classy finish. This is a lighter weight Bèze but one that will repay admirably a decade plus of cellaring and last for much longer. |
