Tasting Note	The Macallan Sherry Oak 18 Years Old forms part of our Sherry Oak range which features a series of single malt whiskies matured exclusively in hand-picked sherry seasoned oak casks from Jerez for richness and complexity. A full-bodied palate of mature oak, ginger and raisin flavors is complemented by a light mahogany natural color. THE EXPERIENCE COLOR: Light mahogany NOSE: Dried fruits and ginger with hints of vanilla and cinnamon. PALATE: Soft and rich, with hints of spice, clove, orange and toasted mature oak. FINISH: Lingering with dried fruits, ginger and orange zest. MATURE OAK. GINGER. RAISIN. When matured exclusively in Oloroso sherry seasoned oak casks from Jerez, Spain, our rich, fruity and full-bodied ‘new make’ spirit is transformed into an iconic single malt. Once filled, the maturing spirit remains undisturbed in the same casks for 18 years and is brought together in this rich and complex single malt characterized by mature oak, ginger and raisin flavors. The nose is rich and heavily fruited: fruit cake, mulberry, a little moist gingerbread, the bloody depths of molasses. On the palate, dried fruits — more figgy than raisined — while the natural oiliness in the spirit balances the boisterous tannins from the European oak.
