It is a rather large, voluptuous wine graced with exquisite depth, richness and power. High-toned floral notes add brightness on the finish. Anticipated maturity: 2015-2025. Wine Spectator (WS) 93/100 (2011) Rich and round, displaying cherry, strawberry, mint and sandalwood flavors. Dense and on the sinewy side, this stays balanced, with an excellent finish. Best from 2015 through 2025 BH 90-92/100 (2011) Reduction renders the nose difficult to read though there is good verve and freshness to the silky-textured medium weight flavors as the supporting tannins are notably fine-grained, all wrapped in a complex, delicious, balanced and highly persistent finish. Good stuff and worth a look. |
