Tasting Note | eRobert Parker (WA) : 88-90/100 Neal Martin The 2015 Pommard Villages has bright red cherry and crushed strawberry bouquet: not complex yet it comes across as "playful". The palate is full of crunchy red fruit, plenty of black pepper here with a well-structured, quite tensile finish. I find more breeding here than the Aloxe-Corton Village at the moment. Burghound (BH) : 87/100 Allen Meadows There is a hint of menthol on the markedly earthy yet super fresh nose of mostly dark currant scents. I like the richness and volume of the delicious medium weight flavors that flash a hint of minerality before concluding in a muscular finish that also exhibits a touch of bitter cherry. Wine Maker Tasting Note : Nice ruby colour. Complex aromas of red fruits and spices. Elegant oak. Great bouquet on the palate, well-balanced with present tannins at the end. Good ageing potential. |
