| Tasting Note | The wine has a fine golden color with deeper highlights and a nose of tropical fruit (passion fruit), a touch of lemon, then pineapple. Delicate on white blossom (acacia, lily), airing releases marshmallow, honey and beeswax. The attack to the palate, full and smoothly rich on ripe fruit, heralds a fine structure. Surprisingly dense, it has great freshness and a finish that lingers on vanilla, almond and elegant oak. The mineral cast, typical of a classic Barsac, is barely perceptible at present but will emerge later as the wine matures. |
